Astound Broadband—along with Grover Beach Parks and Recreation—is sponsoring a toy drive to support 5Cities Homeless Coalition. All items and toys donated should be unwrapped.

Suggested items for kids under the age of 10 include new, in-package toys, bikes, skateboards, helmets, sports gear (soccer ball, basketball, baseball glove, baseball, and baseball bat), new apparel (jackets and shoes), age-appropriate board games, matching bed sets, and new stuffed animals.

For tweens and teens ages 11-18, the following items are needed: board games, headphones, makeup sets, nails painting kits, bluetooth speakers, and reusable water bottles. These gift cards are also encouraged and can be placed in an envelope: Wal-Mart, Target, Central Coast Aquarium in Avila Beach, escape rooms (such as The Locked Inn in Grover Beach), makeup stores, food locations, shoe stores, theaters, clothing stores, and accessory stores.

Drop-off locations in South County for toys and gifts include these locations: Grover Beach firehouse, Grover Beach Parks & Recreation, Grover Beach Police Department, Julia's Juices in Grover Beach, New Life Community Church in Pismo Beach, SeaCrest Oceanfront Hotel in Pismo Beach, SESLOC in Arroyo Grande, Grover Station Grill, and Trilogy Market in Nipomo.
