The Board of Supervisors recognize Janna Nichols upon her retirement from the 5CHC.

The Board of Supervisors celebrated Janna Nichols and her incredible legacy of service in San Luis Obispo County. As the first Executive Director of the Five Cities Homeless Coalition, Janna spent more than a decade expanding vital services, strengthening partnerships, and helping countless individuals and families find stability and hope.

Her career also includes leadership roles with United Way, United Blood Services, and the founding of the Tolosa Children’s Dental Clinic—each reflecting her deep commitment to community health, equity, and compassion. Janna’s advocacy has earned major recognition, including being named 2023 Woman of the Year for the 24th Congressional District.

Janna leaves behind a powerful legacy of collaboration, compassion, and meaningful change. Please join us in thanking her for her many years of dedicated service and wishing her a joyful, well‑earned retirement. 🌟💛
